Advocate Louise Richardson is Counsel within the Dispute Resolution department in Jersey. She specialises in commercial litigation with a focus on trusts and insolvency, appearing for trustees and beneficiaries in directions applications and advising on trust disputes generally. Louise regularly assists foreign insolvency office holders with recognition applications and with advice on cross border insolvency and asset recovery.
She also advises employers and employees in connection with employment disputes and the termination of the employment relationship. Louise has advised both Plaintiffs and Defendant insurers in connection with personal injury and clinical negligence claims.
Louise is currently on secondment to the States of Jersey working on the forthcoming amendments to the Trusts (Jersey) Law 1984.
Recently, Louise was recommended by Legal 500 UK 2016 with clients referring to her as being "responsive, understanding and supportive."
She qualified as an English Solicitor in 2000 at London firm, Russell Jones & Walker, Louise re-qualified as an advocate in December 2003.
