Advocate Carly James is an associate within the Dispute Resolution department in Jersey in the Family Law team. She works mainly on matrimonial disputes for high net worth clients. These involve the division of substantial assets, as well as issues regarding family trusts and business interests.
Before joining Appleby in September 2005, Carly was a bursary student and carried out much work experience at Appleby.
She qualified as an Advocate of the Royal Court in October 2011.
Carly has also recently been accredited by the Children’s Panel to represent Children (on the instructions of the Guardian or independently) and also Parents (or a relative who wishes to be considered as a primary carer) in relation to Public Law Proceedings.
