Tim Hart is the Global Practice Group Head of Appleby’s Property department. He qualified in 1996 and became a partner in 2000.

Tim’s experience covers all aspects of Jersey-based commercial property work. This includes property development, commercial leases, acquisitions and disposals, secured lending, corporate transactions and general property law advice.

Chambers Europe 2011 described him as 'extremely capable and a pleasure to work with'.

Tim is a member of the Law Society of Jersey and regularly serves on sub-committees scrutinising proposed legislation. He is also a member of the Board of Examiners for the Jersey Advocates and Solicitors examinations. He speaks French.

Recent experience includes advising:

  • Barclays in the sale and leaseback to investment group Hotbed of Barclays’ banking hall and office premises at Library Place, St Helier
  • Serviced offices provider Regus in acquiring premises forming part of the new Liberty Wharf development in St Helier
  • Established client Dandara in the letting of commercial premises at its Castle Quay development at St Helier Waterfront
  • Private investors in the acquisition, letting and sale of a former HSBC banking hall in St Helier
