Nick Verardi is the Isle of Man practice group Head for the Corporate & Commercial department. In addition, he is a member of the Corporate Finance, Insurance and Segregated Accounts/Portfolio Companies teams. He qualified as an Isle of Man advocate in 1994 before joining the firm in 2001, becoming a partner in 2002.

He has a wealth of experience in company, commercial and banking matters, with some of his clients including international banks and insurance companies, corporate service providers and accountancy firms. His experience ranges from dealing with mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance issues, to multi-jurisdictional transactions, including asset and structured finance. He also has significant experience in advising captive and life companies on all aspects of Isle of Man law.

Nick was named as a 'Leader in his Field' by Chambers UK 2012. He was also named as a ‘Leader in his Field’ by Chambers Europe 2011 and 2010Chambers Global 2010 says Nick 'can see the way forward on a proactive basis, making sure all deadlines are met'.  Legal 500 2009 notes that he is 'a trusted adviser with good commercial sense'. In PLC Which Lawyer? 2009, Nick is highly recommended in Corporate/M&A: 'he runs a versatile practice with a commendable focus on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance issues and cross-border asset and structured finance transactions'.

He is a notary public in the Isle of Man and a member of the International Bar Association. Nick is regularly invited to lecture on director's duties and issues of corporate governance and has spoken at numerous international life insurance conferences. 

Nick was President of the Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce until July 2011.
