Jeremy Le Tissier is a partner and Guernsey Practice Group Head of the Litigation & Insolvency department. He practises all aspects of commercial litigation, contentious insolvency and contentious trust issues. He advises on fraud and asset recovery, disputes relating to banking and investments, directors and shareholders, and investment funds. He also advises on asset confiscation, money-laundering issues, cross-border disputes, property-related litigation and arbitration as well as proceeds-of-crime issues and regulatory matters.

Prior to joining Appleby, in March 2010, Jeremy worked for another Channel Islands law firm in Guernsey, and has experience working in California.

He was highlighted as an associate to watch in the 2008 and 2009 editions of Chambers Europe.

Jeremy is the treasurer of the Guernsey Bar Council. He is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a member of the Proceeds of Crime Lawyers Association (POCLA) and is a Chartered Surveyor. Jeremy is also an international member of the Chancery Bar Association.

He regularly speaks at seminars and conferences and he presented at the Trust Litigation Symposium in November 2010. He spoke at the OP Conference on Trust Litigation in February 2011 and presented at the STEP Guernsey Annual Conference in June 2011. Jeremy presented at the Guernsey Offshore Tax and Trust Forum in July 2011. He is also the author of the 2012 Guernsey chapter of Law Business Research Ltd, Getting the Deal Through – Arbitration.
