Jennifer Fraser is senior counsel to the firm. She advises primarily in the areas of solvent and insolvent liquidations and insolvent corporate restructurings. Her practice includes advising liquidators, receivers, directors, and creditors of Bermuda insolvent companies, or companies undergoing reconstructions where insolvency issues arise. She also advises on insolvency issues related to corporate transactions.
Jennifer joined Appleby in 1992 as an associate in the Litigation and Insolvency department, became a partner in April 2000 and is now senior counsel.
Jennifer earned a ‘Leading’ rating for restructuring and insolvency in the PLC Which Lawyer? 2009 Individual Recommendation league. Chambers Global 2012 described Jennifer as 'prominent in restructuring and insolvency matters.' Clients have also said that she shows a 'deep understanding of the Bermuda corporate framework.'
She is a member of INSOL International and a sub-committee presently considering the reform of the insolvency laws of Bermuda.
