Farah Ballands is a partner and Group Head of Fiduciary & Administration Services, overseeing Appleby’s fiduciary, administration and accounting practices in Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, Cayman, Guernsey, Hong Kong, the Isle of Man, Mauritius, and the Seychelles. She is also the Managing Director of the Jersey fiduciary business, Appleby Trust (Jersey) Limited.
Farah specialises in the implementation and administration of corporate employee benefit arrangements. She has extensive knowledge of the use of offshore trust and corporate structures, and has practised in the areas of securitisation, corporate restructuring and funds work.
Farah rejoined Appleby in 2003, having left the firm two and a half years earlier to work at another Jersey practice where she specialised in the implementation and administration of employee benefit structures. She originally joined the firm in 1993.
Farah was recognised in the 2012 Citywealth 'Leaders List'. This annual list aims to highlight the best of those individuals working in the wealth management sector. She has also recently been shortlisted by Citywealth for its 'Outstanding Individual of the Year 2012' award which will be announced on 10 May 2012.
Farah is a member of the Jersey Law Society. She is also a Spanish speaker.
