Barney Lee is a group partner in the Corporate & Commercial department at Appleby. Barney advises on all areas of offshore corporate, finance, and restructuring work with particular expertise in the establishment, listing, restructuring of investment funds and asset managers, including in respect of public and private capital raising. He advises on mergers and acquisitions, including those pertaining to financial services businesses, and on various insolvency and restructuring matters.

He is actively involved in industry steering and consultation groups in respect of the introduction and amendment of Guernsey's corporate legislation and financial services regulation.

Barney is recognised by PLC Which Lawyer? for his advice in the area of Corporate/M&A work in Guernsey.  

Prior to joining Appleby in March 2010, he worked for another Channel Islands law firm in Guernsey and for a boutique firm in Sydney, Australia.

Barney regularly contributes to various publications as well as presenting at conferences, seminars and to clients.

He was educated at the University of Sydney and then went on to complete his Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, Sydney.
