Scott Carter

Scott Carter is Appleby's Chief Financial Officer, having joined its Senior Management team in April 2009 as Director of Finance. Scott is primarily responsible for the overall strategic development and planning of Appleby's group financial operations.

His knowledge of the group is extensive as Scott previously worked for Appleby in 2001 to 2006, as Director of Finance. He has a strong international work experience background, which includes public accounting, legal services and reinsurance.

Before returning to Appleby, Scott worked for Scottish Re Group Ltd where he was responsible for both financial reporting and analysis across the US, UK, Bermuda and Irish operations, along with the consolidated financial accounting for the group.

Originally from Canada, Scott graduated from the University of Alberta in 1990 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and qualified as a chartered accountant in 1993 with the public accounting firm KPMG.
