Chris Maiden is Appleby’s Director of Knowledge Management (KM), leading the KM business services group. His experience spans both professional services and university environments.

He leads a global team of professional support lawyers and subject-matter experts who provide tailored and technology-based knowledge services to fee-earners and business managers.

Before joining Appleby, Chris worked at LawNet, a legal consortium in the UK, where he led an in-house team using Lotus Notes to develop and distribute expertise to members and six European partners.

Originally from Suffolk, England, Chris is both a chartered manager (MCMI, Chartered Management Institute) and a chartered librarian and information science professional (MCLIP, Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals). He holds degrees in both Law and Sociology (from the University of Kent at Canterbury, UK) and Library and Information Science (from Loughborough University, UK).

During his career, Chris has served on professional bodies, published articles, and spoken at conferences on various knowledge-management topics.
