Rupert Coe is an associate in the Litigation & Insolvency Practice Group with a focus on insurance, professional negligence and commercial cases.

Prior to joining Appleby in 2010, Rupert trained and practised at Herbert Smith in London in the insurance department of the firm’s litigation division. He acted as part of the Herbert Smith team that advised Chevron in relation to the civil and criminal proceedings following the massive explosion and fire at the Buncefield oil depot in Hertfordshire, which caused around US$2 billion worth of damage. While in London, Rupert was also involved in pro bono work in the Employment Tribunal, where he has appeared as an advocate.

Rupert has Higher Rights of Audience in all courts in England and Wales.
