Rachel Berry is an associate in the Litigation & Insolvency department at Appleby. Rachel qualified in 2007, having joined the Isle of Man office in 2005 as a trainee.

Rachel specialises in employment and immigration matters, both contentious and non-contentious, as well as general commercial litigation. Rachel is experienced in appearing before the High Court in the Isle of Man as well as before the employment tribunal. Rachel has been involved in a number of significant cases and has assisted clients in obtaining freezing injunctions, brought petitions of doleance and advised in contentious probate disputes.  Rachel has also taken part in a number of successful mediations and arbitrations.

Rachel was named as Leader in her Field by Chambers Europe 2011 and 2010. Chambers and Partners describe Rachel as 'without doubt a real up-and-comer'.'

Rachel is a member of the Isle of Man Law Society.

  • In relation to a successful settlement of a high-value claim for a family provision order under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1982, using a mediator
