Naresh Chand is a senior associate in the Private Client & Trusts department in Bermuda. He transferred from the firm's BVI office in March 2010 where he was the Local Group Head for the Private Client & Trusts department. He specialises in advising trust companies, international private banks and private individuals on all aspects of non-contentious BVI trust law matters, including the creation, variation and termination of private and commercial settlements.
On joining Appleby in February 2006, Naresh initially spent just under a year in the firm’s Cayman Islands office during which time he acted as in-house counsel to Appleby Trust (Cayman) Ltd before relocating to the firm’s BVI office later the same year.
Naresh authored the BVI Chapters of the World Trust Survey (published by Oxford University Press in 2010) and Private Client Tax 2010 (the European Lawyer Reference Series). He is a regular contributor to numerous other legal publications such as Private Client Practitioner and BNAI Tax Planning International Review.
Naresh was also recognised in the 2012 Citywealth 'Leaders List'. This annual list aims to highlight the best of those individuals working in the wealth management sector.
He is a full member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
