Martin Ouwehand is a Senior Associate in the Litigation & Insolvency department. He joined Appleby in 2009, having been a Barrister at 11 Stone Buildings in London, a leading set of commercial/chancery chambers since 2002. He has substantial experience in many areas of commercial litigation, in particular those relating to urgent interim relief, company law, shareholder and partnership disputes, insolvency and commercial goods and services.
Martin has a Law degree with Honours and an Economics degree from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. He qualified as a Barrister and Solicitor in Australia in 1997 and commenced practice at Arnold Bloch Leibler, a leading Australian firm. From 1999 to 2002, he continued his broad litigation practice at London firm Gouldens (which later merged with US firm, Jones Day).
