Marit Hudson is a Professional Support Lawyer within the Litigation and Insolvency Practice Group. She is based in the Cayman office but also works closely with Appleby’s offices in the British Virgin Islands and Bermuda.

Prior to becoming a PSL Marit worked as an Associate for over three years in the Litigation and Insolvency Practice Group in Cayman. Her focus was on international commercial litigation such as directors’ and shareholders’ disputes, fund disputes and contractual disputes relating to commercial joint ventures.

Born in Norway and educated in England, Marit graduated with an LLB Honours Degree from the University of Leeds before attending the College of Law in London where she completed the Legal Practice Course. After completion of her training contract at Mishcon de Reya in London, Marit obtained 4 years valuable experience as a commercial litigator at that firm before joining Appleby in the Cayman Islands.

Marit was admitted as an Attorney-at-Law in the Cayman Islands in September 2008. She is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales (non-practising) and the Cayman Islands Law Society.

Chambers Global 2012 published that 'clients praise the work of Marit Hudson.'  They continued to say that her clients have commented that she is 'very responsive, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with.'
