Kenneth Robinson is a consultant and a member of the Funds & Investment Services team within the Corporate & Commercial department. He specialises in derivatives and structured finance/securitisation transactions, in addition to advising on reinsurance, general corporate and partnership matters. He is responsible for the Bermuda netting opinions the firm provides to the International Swap and Derivatives Association (ISDA). Ken joined Appleby as an associate in February 1979. Prior to that, he was an associate in Sir Edward Richard’s Chambers, Hamilton, Bermuda.

He speaks Spanish.

  • Foreign banks and financial institutions in relation to credit default/total return swap agreements and financing activities with Bermuda companies (including insurance and reinsurance companies, in particular), partnerships, mutual funds and trusts
  • In relation to collateral perfection and credit enhancement issues in relation to debt obligations issued by special-purpose vehicles
  • Bermuda insurance and reinsurance clients with regard to securing financing activities and 'segregated account' or 'protected cell' structuring
