Jacob Macadam

Jacob MacAdam is an associate and a member of the Banking & Asset Finance team in the Corporate & Commercial practice group. His practice areas include, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, subscription finance and private equity funding.

Jacob joined Appleby in 2011. Prior to that he worked as an associate at the London office of Gibson Dunn in their corporate finance group where he developed a broad range of corporate transactional experience, including public takeovers, domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate reorganisations. Before joining Gibson Dunn, Jacob trained and qualified at Berwin Leighton Paisner.

• Advising a leading US private equity house in connection with the structuring of an offshore private equity fund 
• Advising a major bulge bracket European investment bank in respect of a high profile acquisition within the financial services sector
• Advising in connection with a bond issue on the Cayman Islands Stock Exchange
• Advising a leading US investment bank in connection with a subscription financing to a Cayman Islands based private equity fund
• Advising a Cayman Islands issuer in connection with the structuring and issue of a US$2billion Euro Medium Term Note Programme

Jacob graduated from the University of Exeter where he completed a BA (Hons). He qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2006 and as an attorney-at-law in the Cayman Islands in 2011.
