profile

Andrew Webb's commercial law experience in private practice covers the growth of the Isle of Man as a jurisdiction of choice for high-value banking and asset finance transactions, particularly aircraft.

In addition he also has considerable experience in contentious and non-contentious insolvency. He acted for the trustee in bankruptcy in Re Tucker and acted for the liquidator of BCCI, respectively ground-breaking personal and corporate cross-border insolvencies.

In addition to his continued involvement in offshore restructuring and insolvency law Andrew oversees aircraft finance work and in particular the provision of legal services to the burgeoning business jet sector founded on the Island’s aircraft register.

Before joining the firm in December 2007 as a consultant, Andrew was a legislative draftsman for HM Attorney General’s Chambers. Until 2000, he was a partner in the corporate department of another major offshore firm.
