Insurance managers generally perform the following functions:
- Day to day administration of insurance documents, collection of premiums, payment of claims, investment management, premium calculation
- Produce periodic management accounts designed to provide useful management information for you and allow the manager to monitor conformation with jurisdictional statutory requirements
- Produce annual financial statements
- Prepare the annual statutory financial return to be audited and filed within strict deadlines in the jurisdiction
- Liaise with the insurance regulators of the jurisdiction
- Liaise with claims adjusters, brokers and underwriters
- Liaise with external auditors
