Business Support Roles

Appleby provides great opportunities for those wishing to develop a career in professional services. With offices around the world, the need for exceptional business support staff is critical.

Business support functions such as compliance, finance, human resources, information technology, marketing and training have teams in most of the Appleby offices, supporting both the legal and fiduciary teams as well as taking responsibility for global practice groups in some areas. Another key support function for the Appleby teams is knowledge management which includes professional support lawyers (PSLs) who provide a wide-ranging service of know-how, best practice and research.

All of these functions are co-ordinated globally by dedicated business support directors.  The global nature of Appleby’s business means that all our business services team members are exposed to a great variety and mix of work.

Opportunities for professionals at all levels of these business support roles provide exciting challenges for those who can meet the demands of a growing and forward-thinking organisation.

Secretarial Roles

The law firm environment calls for experienced legal secretaries, familiar with the standards required by the courts, corporate clients, trusts and property work. Given the increasing computer skills of our legal teams, we often have one secretary working for two or more lawyers, assisting with document production, practice management and general organisation. Other areas of the business such as fiduciary and administration services also have requirements for top quality secretaries who can manage the workload of several fee-earners and provide a supportive and professional service.
